The upside is that they address specific objectives and, have for the most part, become so much a part of the normal day to day operations that not even the antisemitic western press and their NGO's really cares anymore. The downside is that it has no 'next'. It has no endgame and it has no wider scope. Perhaps it's time to address terrorism AS terrorism and respond in kind. Yes, I said it. The point of terrorism is fear. The point of driving the whole of Sderot underground is fear. Perhaps it's time for the people of Gaza to experience fear. When they leave the house in the morning or send their kids to school, maybe they'll be blown up and incinerated and never seen again. Maybe when they look up they need to worry about something dropping on their house and leveling it. Or a nursery school, a bakery, a nightclub, a medical clinic or a mosque. Perhaps it's time to provide precisely the level of proportionality that the UN and Richard Falk and Baroness Ashton and the Guardian never cease to harp and whine about. A rocket or a mortar flies into Israel at random, guided at nothing in particular in the name of terrorism, then an artillery round flies back in. Not aimed or targeting anyone or anything, just whatever. If it lands in vacant lot or lobby of a hotel or a day care center or an office building, then fine. What-ever. Make them cringe, make them run for cover, make them dread getting up every day. Make them terrorized. In simple numbers the probability of killing large numbers of them is vanishingly low. In fact invite a UN suit or a BBC jihadi wannabe to watch them fire off each round - not aimed with any precision other than 'over there'. Do this for 2 years. Each weapon that flies out send one or two back. Empress Trudyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06073538968722986065noreply@blogger.com
