As Long As Abbas Can't Say It In Arabic, It's Not Worth Talking About

As long as Abbas--Israel's Moderate Peace Partner™--refuses to tell the Arabs in Arabic the same things he promises everyone else in English, we will keep getting denials like this:
Chief Palestinian Authority Negotiator Saeb Erekat on Saturday denied a report claiming that PA President Mahmoud Abbas submitted a written proposal agreeing to Israel maintaining control over the Western Wall and carrying out a land swap in the West Bank, reported Israel Radio.
According to a Saturday report in the London-based pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat, Abbas had agreed that the Western Wall and the Jewish Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem remain under Israeli sovereignty in the context of a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.
This, from the guy who promises no incitement and then eulogizes the man behind the Munich Massacre.

For Abbas, it's all in a day's work.

  1. Abu Bluff's chief bottle washer made it clear the Palestinians are not to going to even offer Israel the Jewish Quarter and the Western Wall!

And such a farcical "compromise" is not even worth considering - when you think its too painful for the Palestinians to recognize even a minute degree of Jewish sovereignty over Eretz Israel!

That's for the folks who wonder why the "proximity talks" are headed for failure.
