#Flotilla2 Leader: It's Not About Humanitarian Aid
We want to break the siege and the flotilla is not about expanding the drip of humanitarian aid to Gaza. the flotilla.
Flotilla leader
I guess that would explain why while they are so intent on breaking the Gaza blockade, the Flotilla is in no hurry to actually get aid to Gaza:
Organizers of the flotilla seeking to break Israel’s blockade over the Gaza Strip on Sunday rejected an offer by Athens to allow Greek Navy ships to transfer the humanitarian aid they had planned to bring with them to Gaza on their behalf.
As far as the comment about the "drip" of aid going into Gaza, that is a very appropriate description--if we are discussing what the Flotilla claims to bring, in comparison with what Israel brings into Gaza every day.

They're sitting in an Athens jail and their boats are tied up in port.
ReplyDeleteIf I was a Gazan, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to arrive this summer.
Its all about them, not about Gaza!
They just proof what we already knew. It's not about aid. Even the UN and the Red Cross have stated that there is no humanitarian need in Gaza. They are living in luxury! The market places and stores ate filled with food and goods. There are expensive cars, boats, hotels and whatever they want.
ReplyDeleteIn every single day there are more goods shipped from Israƫl to Gaza, than this complete flotilla can carry! So now way it's about aid! If it was about aid they would have accepted the offer first made by Egypt and now Greece. By turning both offers down, they double proof it's not about aid ...
