FLYING IMAMS DRAW REACTION FROM CONGRESS: In reaction to the lawsuit that sues passengers in addition to US Airways, Congressman Steve Pearce introduced H.R. 1640: the “Protecting Americans Fighting Terrorism Act of 2007.

In reaction to this bogus lawsuit, first we had an Islamic group opposing CAIR. Now we have a reaction from Congress. We also have The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which has won cases for Muslims, write CAIR that:

This is a first for us...We have never opposed someone else's claim for religious discrimination.
But this tactic of threatening suit against ordinary citizens is so far beyond the tradition of civil rights litigation in the United States that we must oppose it to defend the good name of religious liberty itself.

We were overdue for a some pushback.
