Meanwhile, the supposed trespassing of Israeli jets crossing over northern Syria may have been a successful attempt to jam the recently installed air defenses that Syria got from Russian--the same kind that Iran has. That would make it easier for Israel--or the US--to take out Iranian nuclear facilities.

So much for Israel being more of a liability than an ally.
