IRNA: Jews of Tehran Condemn Israel (UPDATED)

"We love all nations. We are friends with the Jewish people. There are many Jews living in Iran with security"
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Yeah, the kind of security Dhimmis have been enjoying under Islamic law for centuries.
From the Islamic Republic News Agency:
Tehrani Jewish community urges massive turn out in Int'l Qods Day

Tehrani Jewish community (TJC) on Tuesday called for Iranians to take part massively in the International Qods Day rallies on October 5.

In a statement, a copy of which was made available to IRNA on Tuesday, TJC referred to the Qods Day as the day of solidarity of the world people and Muslims for the cause of defending Qods and rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation.

It said that Qods day is a sign of love and interest, of the followers of divine religions, in holy Qods, that is respected by all monotheists.

It added that on the day, nations show resentment to violence and suppression of the brave Palestinian nation.
And just what would happen if the Jewish community there did not turn out to condemn Israel?

UPDATE: Check out the blog Iranian American Jews, whose post Iranian mullahs' use of Jews for propaganda would make Goebbels proud, goes into some detail:
During the last three to four months Iran's fundamentalist Islamic regime has been doing its utmost to counter the negative publicity generated by it's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who has repeatedly denied the Holocaust and called for Israel to be "wiped off the map". The most effective way they have done their public relations damage control is by marching out Iran's Jews and showing that the regime "loves the Jews" and is benevolent to them. The hope of the mullahs who hold the true power in Iran is to reverse the bad press they have been getting as anti-Semitic jihadists. (Below I offer an abbreviated list of publicity stunts and propaganda moves that the regime has undertaken to fix their image by using Iran's Jews).
Check out his post and his list.

There's a good article in today's Yediot Ahronot [leading Israel newspaper] "Between the Devil and the Hard Place" about Iranian Jews and what's really going on in there. It's a real masterpiece featuring testimonies by Jew who escaped Iran.
I couldn't find it on YNET, but perhaps you'll have more luck. If you can't get your hands on an issue of YA or find the article on YNET, e-mail me [twilightexperiment@hotmail.com] and I'll either scan it for you in Hebrew or translate it to English [French, German, Russian, Chinese, Arabic] and post here/e-mail back to you.

    With best regards, Twilight.
