Nachum interviewed Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, who called in to JM in the AM for the latest Weekly Update. Nachum and Malcolm opened this week's update with a brief rundown on last night's NY Knicks-Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv game, supporting Migdal Ohr, as well as, tourist, and other conditions for Sukkot in Israel. They discussed the rumored reports of the division of Jerusalem and Jordan’s involvement in the temple mount. Nachum asked Malcolm how the on-going corruption investigation of Israel's Prime Minister Olmert might impact his effectiveness at the Mid-East conference in November; which lead into a discussion about the upcoming conference. Nachum and Malcolm covered several other topics including: the impact of the anti-Ahmadenijad rally at the U.N. a few weeks ago, Israel’s “visit” to Syria and what that may mean for the future, Israeli Ministers calling for the release of Marwan Barghouti, Neo-Nazi groups in Israel, and MUCH more.
