The 'Other' November Summit

Seems that a summit is such a good idea, even the terrorists are doing it:
Deputy secretary general of the Islamic Jihad movement revealed on Saturday that the Palestinian leaders-in-exile in the Syrian capital of Damascus are to hold their own conference at the same time as the US-sponsored summit.

Al- Nakhala said that Palestinian factions will hold a simultaneous conference in order to express their rejection of US plans and stress adherence to unalienable Palestinian rights and principles.

Nakhala addressed a gathering of Islamic Jihad leaders, in addition to journalists and intellectuals. He stated that all Palestinian factions and independent figures are invited to the conference.
Khaled Mash'al, the head of Hamas' politburo and leader-in-exile has said that he too is attending. According to that article:
According to Saudi newspaper 'Ukath, Mash'al said that his Damascus-based office received several US and European visitors.
Assuming that Mash'al is telling the truth, I wonder who the US visitors he is referring would be? It would be one thing to visit Syria, another to go talk to the leader of terrorists.
