Imagine: Abbas Actually Has Something Nice To Say About Israel (Updated)

Come to think of it, why would Israel's peace partner be more prone towards praising terrorists than putting in a kind word for the country they are supposedly trying to make peace with?

Talk about tough love.

Of course, the good word on Israel is only to knock Hamas:
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas accused Hamas of preventing thousands of Palestinians from making the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, Israel Radio reported in Saturday night.

Abbas told reporters in Mecca that Israel had never once prevented Palestinians from making the holy visit.

Palestinians wishing to travel to Saudi Arabia through Egypt were not given permits and both Fatah and Hamas were blaming each other for the incident.
Gee, why can't Hamas be more like Israel...

UPDATE: Of course, once they get to Mecca...
But while most spent the day praying and reading Islam's holy book, the Quran, thousands — mostly Iranians, Lebanese, Iraqis and Bahrainis — held a rally inside their tents to denounce the United States and Israel.
Called the "disavowal of pagans ceremony," the Iranian-sponsored, anti-U.S. protest is held annually at the hajj, bringing a whiff of politics into what is otherwise an entirely religious event.
