Israel Has Support In Italy--Even From The Liberal Media

I included this in the previous post, but thought it worthwhile posting separately:

A friend forwarded to me a note from Rabbi Jack Bemporad who is at the Vatican:

I am presently in Italy. You should know that even the left leaning papers have been critical of Hamas. It seems that they have consistently pointed out that no nation including Israel can tolerate bombardment from terrorists. Instead of repeating the same we are the victims we should stress that there is considerable support for Israel.

Of course, this does not lessen the pressure on Israel to get the job done--and get it done quickly and while avoiding any PR debacles.
