Does Jeffrey Goldberg's Advice Work For The New York Times Too?

Thanks to Jeffrey Goldberg at The Atlantic for this helpful hint:
I really do suggest that you subscribe to the magazine and read these sorts of stories in print, and not only because reading long articles on the Intertubes causes leprosy, while reading stories in print increases your chances of winning Powerball.
But can't I just avert my eyes and print the online articles?

    I wonder whether Jeffrey Goldberg has been inspired to frequent use of the word leprosy by Ahmadinejad or vice versa

    anyway he decided in this gobbled together from blogposts piece even to call Israel a leper when he wanted to tell his readers that it is unappreciated.
