Understanding Reached: Abu Rahm Did Not Die From Tear Gas

YnetNews is reporting that Abu Rahm died from health problems--not tear gas:
An understanding over the death of Bilin protestor Jawaher Abu Rahmah last week is taking shape. Both sides have concluded that Abu Rahmah hadn't died from inhalation of tear gas at the Bilin protest but from the results of the medical care she received along with medical problems she suffered from prior to the demonstration; Judea and Samaria Division Commander Nitzan Alon revealed Friday.

He announced that an investigation into the affair would be officially completed by both sides soon. Alon stressed that the IDF has no intention of changing its crowd dispersion methods during violent riots.
This of course will be great news once it is completely verified and all of the details come out.
Whatever the circumstances, the death of Jawaher Abu Rahmah was a terrible tragedy.

That both Israel and the Palestinian Authority could come to an agreement on what happened and that Israel was not responsible shows that things have come a long way since the al Dura hoax.

Of course, it is also a great vindication of Israel and of those who came to her defense analyzing and criticizing the holes in the original explanation--and that bodes well for Israel and for those who defend her.
