Hamas is after all a terrorist group--so humanitarian niceties are somewhat beyond them. Don't expect them to just offer up proof that Shalit is alive and in good health.
According to Rotter, the Hamas newspaper Al-Risala suggests using Shalit once again to create pressure on the government to release more Hamas terrorists--and there are defense officials who suggest that would even include terrorists with blood on their hands.
With the prospect of causing so much anguish and aggravation, how could Hamas terrorists resist such an opportunity.
