As A Public Service: Great 'Arab Holy Warriors' In Arab History

The phrase "Arab Holy Warrior", bestowed by Hamas on Osama bin Laden by Hamas--last seen alive while hiding behind his wife--is not a title to be taken lightly. Very few have had this recognition bestowed on them, but by examining who these great Arabs were, we get a sense of what it really takes to be an Arab Holy Warrior.

Samir Kuntar, whose claim to fame is smashing in the skull of a 4 year old girl
Kuntar, reviled in Israel, has become a cause celebre for Hezbollah, which called him an “Arab holy warrior.” Now fluent in Hebrew and equipped with a correspondence-course degree from an Israeli university, Kuntar was reported to be considering a job as a Hezbollah spokesman.

Saddam Hussein, who murdered untold thousands of Arabs
The proclamation, entitled “Sorrow and Solidarity,” states that group members in the Bethlehem region angrily condemn the “American media fabrication” imposed on Saddam, the “Arab holy warrior,” during his arrest.

But let's not forget one internationally recognized true Arab Holy Warrior:

The name of the place [San Menaio, in southeast Italy] is, according to another historical tradition, more widespread and remembered by Giuseppe D'Addetta, to be traced back to the story about the apparition of Saint Menas, [Christian] Arab holy warrior, who saved the inhabitants from Saracens [Bedouin Arabs] attacks.

Go figure: the one Holy Arab Warrior the Arab terrorists don't brag about--actually was one!
