Individual IDF Spokespeople Open Accounts On Twitter

As part of Israel's entry into the Internet in general, and social media in particular, the IDF opened up its own IDF blog, IDF YouTube account, IDF Flickr account and IDF Twitter account.

Now, the IDF has individual Twitter accounts for its spokespeople:

• Lieutenant Colonel Avital Leibovich, official IDF Spokeswoman for the international press, on Twitter
• Major Avichai Adraee, head of the IDF Spokesperson’s Arabic desk, on Twitter in Arabic
• Captain Barak Raz, head of the IDF Spokesperson’s North American Desk on Twitter.
• First Lieutenant Sacha Dratwa, head of the IDF Spokesperson’s new media desk on Twitter in French

This makes the IDF even more accessible on Twitter, both in terms of viewpoints and languages.
