Rest Easy: Obama Vows Iran Won't Go Nuclear

According to Ehud Barak, Obama has vowed that Iran will not become nuclear:

Defense Minister Ehud Barak met on Friday with U.S. President Barack Obama, shortly before the latter addressed the Union for Reform Judaism biennial. In his speech, Obama assured the audience that the U.S.' commitment to Israel is "unshakeable" and that "no U.S. administration has done more in support of Israel’s security than ours."


Barak, who is frequently dispatched by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for talks with U.S. officials, later briefed the premier, telling him that, "Obama vowed not to let Iran become nuclear." Barak also told Netanyahu that the "atmosphere in the meeting was great."

Thanks, Barak for letting us know there was no smog.

So here we have the man who as Israeli Prime Minister was ready to give away the store to Arafat during the waning months of the Clinton administration, talking with the US president most likely to give himself whiplash while praising himself for being such a good friend of Israel.

Unbelievable.

Are the rest of you as relieved as I am to know that Obama has vowed--not promised, but vowed--that Iran will not go nuclear?

Let's hope that Obama doesn't pat himself on the back on this one yet.
