Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan again has condemned Israel, claiming the Mavi Marmara was bring aid to Gaza:
When the Mavi Marmara sailed in order to bring humanitarian aid to a poor, hungry population, it was attacked in international water by state terrorism. Peace will not appear in the Middle East as long as the state terrorism continues, and as long as bombs keep dropping on innocent people," he said. But did the Mavi Marmara really sail in order to bring humanitarian aid?
Not from what Israel found on board.
There was no humanitarian aid aboard the Mavi Marmara:
Of the seven flotilla ships, only four were freight ships. The Challenger 1 (small yacht), the Sfendonh (small passenger boat) and the Mavi Marmara (passenger ship) did not carry any humanitarian aid, except for the passengers' personal belongings. [emphasis added]But it does sound better the way Erdogan tells it.
