New Segment Of CBS Interview With Obama Seems To Contradict His Claim

Brett Baier reports that CBS Held Damaging Obama Benghazi Tape:
Two days before the election, CBS posted additional portions of a Sept. 12 "60 Minutes" interview where President Obama seems to contradict himself on the Benghazi attack. As the Benghazi investigation gets more attention and focus, CBS is once again adding to the Benghazi timeline.

In the interview, according to the latest portions, Obama would not say whether he thought the attack was terrorism. Yet he would later emphasize at a presidential debate that in the Rose Garden the same day, he had declared the attack an act of terror. [emphasis added]
Here is the omitted segment in question:

Baier notes that during the 2nd presidential debate, Obama bristled at Romney's suggestion that there was a delay in the White House stating that the attack in Benghazi was a terrorist attack:
The day after the attack, Governor, I stood in the Rose Garden, and I told the American people and the world that we are going to find out exactly what happened, that this was an act of terror
Legal Insurrection writes CBS Rathered you not see this video of Obama refusing to call Benghazi terrorism and notes the inconsistency of the White House narrative on what happened in Benghazi:
Candy Crowley jumped to Obama’s assistance, and falsely confirmed Obama’s debate statement that he had called it an “act of terror” the day after the attack in a Rose Garden statement. Any fair reading of that statement was that Obama at most was talking about terrorism in general relating to 9/11/2001 not 9/11/2012. The administration, particularly U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, was emphatic that this was a protest gone bad.
As it is, Obama avoided calling it a terrorist attack on other occasions as well, such as when he appeared on The View and when he spoke at the UN -- where Obama blamed the Mohammed video.

Legal Insurrection concludes:
Someone at CBS probably will be fired over this. Not for holding the segment back, but for publishing it at all.
There is no real smoking gun here, but this clip once again demonstrates the inconsistencies and incongruities in the story the Obama White House presented to the American people.

Before it decided to keep mum as the election drew closer.
