If I were terribly cynical which of course I am not, I'd say that Obama has come to deliver in person a message that the US has unambiguous proof that Iran is already a nuclear state and not only can no one do a thing about it, but the US will never back Israel in any overt effort to either attack that capability nor defend Israel against it. I believe he has come to end the relationship between the US and Israel for good and spit in their eye. Obama is switching sides to Iran and backstopping Turkey in its efforts to establish something akin to a new Ottoman empire. And wants to be the the one to stick it to the Jews up close and personal

  3. If I were an optimist I'd say it has to do with ALL American Presidents in their second term making some kind of half hearted effort to 'solve' the Palestinian issue for the sake of their own posterity.
