GEE, THAT COULD MAKE DIPLOMACY DIFFICULT! In his article Public Diplomacy for Dummies. Bret Stephens notes in passing a
Charming tidbit: "It is forbidden for a Muslim to be the first in greeting an unbeliever, even if he had prestigious position. This is due to many established holy traditions, in this matter, like his [Prophet Muhammad] saying [peace be upon him]: Do not be first, in greeting the Jews and the Christians."
But I'm sure that from that point on the Koran is very explicit on the importance of negotiating in good faith with apes Jews.

Go for it, Olmert!
