Is Gray Hair A Reason To Reelect Obama? (Why It Isn't)

Michelle Obama claims that gray hair is why Obama should be reelected:
First Lady Says Obama's Gray Hair 'Proof' He Deserves Second Term

On the president’s 50th birthday, First Lady Michelle Obama says her husband’s ever graying hair is “proof” he’s handled his the job well, and deserves re-election in 2012.

“Every day, I see Barack make choices he knows will affect every American family,” Mrs. Obama said in an email blast to supporters. “That's no small task for anyone -- and more proof that he's earning every last one of those gray hairs.”
Well, I have good news and bad news for Mrs. Obama:

The good news--According to Scientific Americanit has not been confirmed that stress causes gray hair:
Does stress accelerate this demise of the melanocyte population? "It is not so simple," Fisher says, noting that the process of graying is a multivariable equation. Stress hormones may impact the survival and / or activity of melanocytes, but no clear link has been found between stress and gray hair.
Now the bad news--Gray hair can be the result of smoking:Smokers are 4 times more likely to have gray hair than nonsmokers and smoking has been conclusively linked to accelerated hair loss.

Like the lack of successes Obama has had in office, his gray hair appears to be the result of his own mistakes.

And if Obama starts losing his hair over the next year, please Mrs. Obama--don't tell us that is a reason to reelect your husband.
