Nachum interviewed Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, who called in to JM in the AM for the the final Weekly Update of 5767. Nachum and Malcolm began this week's update by discussing the new book written by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt entitled: The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy and the damage it is currently causing. Malcolm made it very clear that the book is full of inaccuracies, inconsistancies, and distortions. He also delineated some of the realities of the Israel Lobby. They also briefly spoke about the international conference at the UN this past week and the ensuing anti-Israel rhetoric and sentiment. Along with Malcolm's year-end wrap up and thoughts for the new year, Nachum and Malcolm covered several other topics including: President Bush's surprise visit to Iraq this week, the possibility of Israel flying into Syrian airspace, news from North Korea, the remarkable efforts made by Israelis to shop in Sderot this week, conditions in Lebanon, and MUCH more.
