Ma'an Translation Trouble: Does Fatah Want Peace--Or Islamic Domination?

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades of Fatah has come out with its reaction of the killing of Osama bin Laden. The Palestinian news agency Ma'an came out with its report on their statement--one in Arabic and one in English.

Palestinian Media Watch noticed that there was a descrepancy between what Ma'an reports Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades said in Arabic and what they actually said

According to the English report from Ma'an, they said:
"We tell the Israeli and the American occupiers that we have leaders who have changed history with their Jihad and their steadfastness. We are ready to sacrifice our lives to bring back peace."
But PMW found that according to the statement in Arabic, Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades said something a bit stronger:
"We say to the American and Israeli occupier: The [Islamic] nation which produced leaders who changed the course of history through their Jihad and their endurance is a nation that is capable of supplying an abundance of new blood into the arteries of the resistance and is capable of restoring the glory of Islam and the flag of Allah's oneness, Allah willing.'"
[Ma'an Arabic, May 3, 2011]
So it's not actually peace Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades wants to bring back--it's Islamic domination.
Looks like Ma'an lost a little something in their English translation.
