Hamas In Favor Of Democracy (For Syria) And Against Terrorist Attacks (By Al Qaeda)

Ya Libnan writes about Hamas leader Meshaal's call for freedom and democracy--for other countries
Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal who lives in exile in Syria’s capital Damascus called on Monday for more democracy in Syria.

“We want to see more stability, prosperity and a stronger government that responds to the people’s aspirations,” he told France 24 television.
Who knew that Meshaal held the principles of democracy so dear?

Of course, it was not so clear if Hamas had any interest in democracy in Gaza--where elections were supposed to have been held over a year ago.

Also, no mention of Hamas's intent on imposing Sharia on Gazans--who knows, maybe they'll put it up to a vote in the next election...

More on Meshaal's odd double standard:
Meshaal also said the United States had no right to kill Osama bin Laden but said this did not mean the his Islamist group supported al Qaeda’s attacks on civilians.[emphasis added]
Ya Libnan was nice to point out how ridiculous that statement was:
Hamas carried out dozens of suicide bombings and is classified by the United States and the European Union as a terrorist group.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is no doubt waiting for clarification
