Links To Wake Up To On Thursday Morning

The week is just over half over and so far I've had to answer my 6 year old daughter's questions:
o Why she does not get presents on Mother's Day when Imma and Bubby do
o Is she a teenager

It's all downhill from here.

Meanwhile, here are some links.

Which makes them very, very dangerous--
far beyond what the UN can deal with, even when people respected it and thought they were effective.
But see How to Stop Iran (Without Firing a Shot) by Bret Stephens of the Wall Street Journal

great set, thank you!

I was going to email you yesterday and point out Jack's blog name post because I had not seen the inspiration for Daled Amos up there explained.

Now all I can do is hopefully just wait patiently...

Ok then, it's been about 10 seconds now, maybe I should go do some work in the mean time ; )

Why Daled Amos?

I'm not sure I even remember...
I had a blog for a couple of months and then stopped. It was called 'Two Cents'

Basically the name 'Daled Amos' conveys the same idea--I have something to say but try not to take myself overly seriously. Originally, my description was going to be "what I write doesn't have to carry much weight," but I thought that was a bit obscure.

One unintended result of the name is that I've seen posts/received emails where people seem to think Daled Amos is my actual name.

Meanwhile, my wife has been telling some of our friends that I blog.
They smile and nod politely.

I suppose that if you don't know what blogs are, that would be their only response to "my husband blogs," all the while thinking to themselves 'why would someone come right out and say that in public?'

I take you kind of seriously btw, but you shouldn't feel too bad, that usually means a daily visit from where I come from : )
