Bill Clinton: Does The Man Who Doesn't Know The Meaning Of "Is" Know The Meaning Of "Peace"?

Obama has everyone covering for his anti-Israel policy:
And now Bill Clinton takes his shot.

Bill Clinton is now claiming that Netanyahu is the one who killed the "peace process":
He said there are two main reasons for the lack of a comprehensive peace today: the reluctance of the Netanyahu administration to accept the terms of the Camp David deal and a demographic shift in Israel that is making the Israeli public less amenable to peace.

..."The Israelis always wanted two things that once it turned out they had, it didn't seem so appealing to Mr. Netanyahu. They wanted to believe they had a partner for peace in a Palestinian government, and there's no question -- and the Netanyahu government has said -- that this is the finest Palestinian government they've ever had in the West Bank," Clinton said.

"[Palestinian leaders] have explicitly said on more than one occasion that if [Netanyahu] put up the deal that was offered to them before -- my deal -- that they would take it," Clinton said, referring to the 2000 Camp David deal that Yasser Arafat rejected.
For Clinton to say that the Arabs would accept his deal, besides being an undeserved pat on the back, is simply ridiculous.

Jackson Diehl already made it clear two years ago that the Palestinian Arabs had no interest in Bill Clinton's peace offer:
In our meeting Wednesday, Abbas acknowledged that Olmert had shown him a map proposing a Palestinian state on 97 percent of the West Bank -- though he complained that the Israeli leader refused to give him a copy of the plan. He confirmed that Olmert "accepted the principle" of the "right of return" of Palestinian refugees -- something no previous Israeli prime minister had done -- and offered to resettle thousands in Israel. In all, Olmert's peace offer was more generous to the Palestinians than either that of Bush or Bill Clinton; it's almost impossible to imagine Obama, or any Israeli government, going further.

Abbas turned it down. "The gaps were wide," he said. [emphasis added; hat tip: DG]
Abbas turned down Olmert's superior deal for peace--yet Bill Clinton is whining that Abbas is chomping at the bit to accept his?

And while Netanyahu may be very generous in his praise of the Palestinian Arab government, one would have thought Bill Clinton would realize that what he refers to as "the finest Palestinian government they've ever had in the West Bank," is in fact in absolute shambles from a constitutional point of view. The fact that is ignored both by the media and the Obama administration is that Abbas is no longer president of the Palestinian Authority and has not been president for 2 years.

For Bill Clinton to praise the "Palestinian government" is downright dishonest--not only Abbas, but Fayyad as well have no constitutional backing to their positions.
Or does a government's constitution mean so little to Bill Clinton?

More nonsense from Clinton:
"The King of Saudi Arabia started lining up all the Arab countries to say to the Israelis, ‘if you work it out with the Palestinians ... we will give you immediately not only recognition but a political, economic, and security partnership,'" Clinton said. "This is huge.... It's a heck of a deal."
Heck of a deal?
Only if you are an Arab.

According to the text of Saudi peace plan, Israel makes all of the concessions:
o Full Israeli withdrawal from all the territories occupied since 1967, including the Syrian Golan Heights to the lines of June 4, 1967 as well as the remaining occupied Lebanese territories in the south of Lebanon.
o Achievement of a just solution to the Palestinian Refugee problem to be agreed upon in accordance with UN General Assembly Resolution 194.
o The acceptance of the establishment of a Sovereign Independent Palestinian State on the Palestinian territories occupied since the 4th of June 1967 in the West Bank and Gaza strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
And the Arabs? They merely make assurances:
o Consider the Arab-Israeli conflict ended, and enter into a peace agreement with Israel, and provide security for all the states of the region.
o Establish normal relations with Israel in the context of this comprehensive peace.
Apparently, Bill Clinton is very big on promises.

Bottom line, what we have here is Bill Clinton being the hit man for Obama, allowing him to work on his pro-Israel image in an effort to attract the Jewish vote that has begun to drift away from him.

Judging from the roles being played by Biden, Hillary & Bill Clinton and Panetta--Obama is pulling out all the stops.
