The first two items on his list caught my eye, especially the advice has to do with actual blogging--not with how to get more hits:
1. A true weblog is a log of all the URLs you want to save or share. (So del.icio.us is actually better for blogging than blogger.com.)Check out the rest.2. You can certainly include links to your original thoughts, posted elsewhere … but if you have more original posts than links, you probably need to learn some humility.
The blogger who I think comes closest to that model of being more of a linker than a thinker is Instapundit--I think it takes alot of self-control to post a link with just a sentence or two explanation. It seems to me that his readers respect and that is the reason he has such a high outclick rate.
Inside the JBlogosphere I don't know offhand if there is blog like that. We are all somewhat opinionated and generally share our opinions more than collecting and linking to resources.
Just thinking...

This is certainly true. On the other hand, a personal blog is supposed to be somewhat of a channel to vent that steam. Probably some personal balance is being reached by everyone with time...
I guess it was at the point that passive weblogs became active and venting that a verb was needed and "blog" was born...
