MANDELA LETTER ON ISRAELI APARTHEID IS A FRAUD: It's Almost Supernatural writes about a letter allegedly written by Nelson Mandela to Thomas Friedman--and quoted by Carter at Brandeis--wherein Mandela describes how Israel is an apartheid state. IAS links to 2 posts by Joel Pollak at his blog Guide to the Perplexed here and here describing how the letter was actually written by Arjan El Fassed of Electronic Intifada. Fassed admits to being the author of the letter here, but denies having claimed it was written by Mandela.

minor technicality, that would never trip up a lying giant like DerSHOWitz, but Carter in fact never quoted from that spoof letter from Mandela.
