Nachum Segal Interviews Malcolm Hoenlein About Annapolis

Hear the recording of Friday's show:
Nachum interviewed Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, who called in for the latest Weekly Update. Nachum and Malcolm opened this week's interview with a discussion about the significance of "Chaf Tet B'November" i.e. the 29th day of November and why it is important to commemorate it. They then began their Annapolis Analysis, a comprehensive discussion and summary of this week's "peace summit" at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Malcolm reminded the listening audience of his prediction that this meeting would be more about scheduling future summits rather than specific land negotiations. Nachum questioned Malcolm about several of the particulars including the 2008 deadline for a Palestinian state, the joint statement that President Bush read to kick off the conference, the status of Jerusalem, and much more.
