Are Ground Zero Mosque Leaders Giving Us A Preview Of How They Will Deal With Non-Muslims? (Updated)

Some of those who are Jews change words from their context and say: "We hear and disobey; hear thou as one who heareth not" and "Listen to us!" distorting with their tongues and slandering religion. If they had said: "We hear and we obey: hear thou, and look at us" it had been better for them, and more upright. But Allah hath cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, save a few.
Quran Sura 4:46

The leadership behind the Ground Zero Mosque is big on comparing themselves with Jews:

A leader of a planned Muslim community center near Manhattan's Ground Zero compared opposition to the project to the persecution of Jews, in comments that could add to the controversy over the center's proposed site.

"We are deeply concerned, because this is like a metastasized antisemitism," said Daisy Khan, who is spearheading the project with her husband, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. "It's beyond Islamophobia. It's hate of Muslims."
Khan overlooks the fact that the opposition centers on the insensitivity of having a mosque so close to Ground Zero, not the right to build a mosque.

Speaking of insensitivity, before she compares opposition to the Ground Zero Mosque with anti-Semitism--and cancer--maybe Khan should keep in mind the cancer of anti-Semitism that is deliberately fomented in the Muslim world, starting with the youngest of children.

Rather than distorting the issues raised in opposition to the Ground Zero Mosque, perhaps Khan and Rauf should address them--showing the moderation and reconciliation for which the media tells us they are known.

Or are we actually getting a preview of the way the proposed Ground Zero Mosque will deal with non-Muslims?

UPDATE: Jennifer Rubin writes that the Mosque Builders Drop Mask Of “Reconciliation”, as they push the claim that they are being persecuted like Jews--a claim accepted unquestioningly by Christiane Amanpour, new host of This Week.

Jeffrey Goldberg says it also
have Jews ever dreamed of re-surrecting the caliphate let alone a world-wide empire? oops of course that's what the protocols are about, aren't they? ;-(

Worse, some Jews are joining the on-line anti-Muslim mob. Anti-Muslim sentiment in America today has many of the hallmarks of the anti-Semitism of yesteryear. American Jews should be able to see that.
