NJDC Video: Israelis Love Obama! Scientific Poll: Hmmm, Not So Much

Here is a video put out by the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) which claims Israelis recognize Obama's strong support for Israel:
President Barack Obama's strong support for Israel has been recognized by Israeli leaders such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak, as well as many pro-Israel leaders here in the United States. Now, watch the video to hear what Israelis living on the front lines think.

The video is supposed to prove that Israelis are pro-Obama and has Israel's back on security.

The problem is that impression is directly contradicted by a poll by Tel Aviv University in July on how Israelis feel about Obama and Romney:
12. Between the two candidates for the American presidency, President Barack Obama, of the Democratic Party, and Republican candidate Mitt Romney, who in your opinion assigns more importance to defending Israel’s national interests?

1. Barack Obama 18.6
2. Mitt Romney 39.9
3. Both to the same extent 9.9
4. Neither of them 6.4
5. I don't know\refuse to answer 25.2
So, contrary to the impression you might get from the video, Israelis actually favor Romney to Obama more than 2 to 1.

Good to know.
