Again... why the need for an investigation? Is Israel the guilty party here? Why not ask the Turks to investigate their responsibility for the provocation and loss of life? Why is it Israel's responsibility to clear the air in a case in which it is clearly the innocent party? I'll never understand why the Stupid Jews insist on appeasing a world that wants Jewish blood, not justice.

Well, for one thing--the only way there will be any investigation into Turkey's (and IHH's)role in this is for Israel to an investigation.

The UNHRC will definitely not do it, and no one else will either.

As far as investigating itself, that is something that Israel should want to do in any case for itself, just as it did in the Winograd Commission.

The Winograd investigation dealt with the Israeli government's bungling of the Lebanon War. Here the only questions that need to be answered is why IDF troops were not properly equipped in the first place, why there was an intelligence failure and why they did NOT manage to kill all the terrorists.

I'm with getting to the bottom of a SNAFU. But we both know the world will never accept any thing other than a confirmation of Israeli guilt.

For the most part, perhaps. But this is an opportunity to show what a real fact-finding committee does.

Also, as I wrote before, this is the only way a real investigation into the IHH and Turkey's involvement will take place.
