US Continues To Reward Abbas For Doing Nothing

First Obama sends Abbas a letter threatening to suspend the special relationship the US and the Palestinian Authority have, unless Abbas agrees to direct negotiations with Netanyahu.

Then, just to show he's serious--Obama upgrades the status of the PA office in Washington.
Now, just to show he's reaaaaaaally serious--what does Obama do?

Elder of Zion writes
Palestine Press Agency reports that the US has agreed to help facilitate the admittance of "Palestine" to the World Trade Organization.
The Consulate of the United States in Jerusalem has informed both the PA Ministries of National Economy and Foreign Affairs of U.S. support Palestine's request to join the World Trade Organization as an observer, following a number of meetings and deliberations between the National Economy Ministry and the Mission of the United States in the WTO in Geneva during the past few months.
After, Obama upgraded the PA office, the Arab League told Abbas that he should go ahead and talk directly to Netanyahu--when the time is right.

So what is Abbas supposed to do when he gets observer status at the WTO?

Maybe he'll keep Syria company.
It looks like they are working to get in too:
Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Fayssal Midkad discussed on Wednesday with Director of Accessions Divisions at the World Trade Organization (WTO) Chiedu Osakwe the tasks assigned to both sides following the approval of Syria's request for accession to the WTO.

The two sides stressed the need to coordinate to carry out the accession process as soon as possible.
Looks like the WTO is going to become the place where terrorism enablers and terrorists meet.

Why should the Palestinians cease being intransigent?

The Americans are not punishing them for it; on the contrary they are rewarding them for it!

For Abu Bluff, life is good, very good indeed!

Given that the PA has introduced boycotts of Israeli products, aren't they disqualified from WTO membership?
