The IDF, according to all news reports, is bracing for unpleasantness over the next couple of months, in conjunction with the Palestinian Authority's statehood bid at the UN. That means many more religious soldiers, both those on active duty and reservists, will find themselves in the field for extensive periods during the coming holidays. My friend Rabbi Yedidya Atlas, a reserve Lt. Colonel in the IDF Rabbinate, asked me to send to my list the attached advertisement. I am happy to do so.
