Have less to blog about apparently.
Today, Iran's PressTV breathlessly informs us that piano tuner Paul Larudee has determined that Israel's blockade of Gaza violates international law:
Press TV: How monumental is this finding by the five independent rights experts considering the Palmer Report stated that the neighbor blockade on Gaza was legal?Larudee apparently blissfully unaware of the Items Transferred into Gaza from Israel on a Daily Basis by the IDF--or just wants you to be.
Larudee: I would say that the Palmer Report was a bit of a surprise for not considering who was making determination, because the blockade of Gaza is against humanitarian law in so many ways. There is actually a way to resolve this. First of all the aid blockade is a legal form of warfare so it is not illegal to have a blockade against us but of course what Israel is doing is blockade and starving and denying the Palestinians commerce and economy and all sorts of ways to survive and make a living. This is totally illegal, of course that five experts have determined.
As far as the commerce and economy, it is no longer Gaza's best kept secret that there are malls in Gaza and there are fancy restaurants in Gaza as well.
Of course, if Hamas terrorists would cease firing rockets at unarmed civilians in Israel, the blockade could be removed.
But let's face it: there is as much chance of Hamas stopping their war against Israel as there is of "Gaza's freely elected democracy" getting around to holding those long overdue elections that put them in power in the first place.
The facts are out there--but Paul Larudee just prefers to stick to his own tune.
