BILL CLINTON SAID WHAT?: On Friday last week, Bill Clinton spoke
...of the danger of Iran developing a nuclear weapon, saying he was more worried about a terrorist group obtaining an Iranian bomb than the Islamic Republic using it itself. "Maybe some Iranian leader would think, maybe I can nuke Israel … but we can handle that with a phone call," he said. "If a nuclear bomb ever exploded in the Middle East, even if it wiped out Israel, the main victims eventually would be all the Muslims around it who would be killed in the nuclear fallout." [emphasis added]
So the tragedy is not that an entire country would be destroyed
The tragedy would not be the overall loss of life in the area--Jewish and Muslim.
No, the tragedy is that Muslims would be killed.

It's amazing how deeply embedded the reflex is to paint Muslims as victims.

I'm also curious about who Clinton would make that 'phone call' to?
President Hillary Clinton?

Perhaps his point is that an Islamic republic would be hesitant to use the bomb in Israel because of the potential fallout and loss of Muslim Life. Terrorist groups do not care to sacrifice any life whether it is Muslim or Jewish. That is the fear since they are more extreme, while an Islamic republic can be rationed with.

I don't know if he meant that the Muslims would be the victims and that the Jews would not be. Who knows.

Nice blog BTW.
