THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ABBAS' FATAH AND IRA. Since the comparison has been made in Great Britain between the IRA and Hamas, here is another point of comparison--this time with Israel's peace partners in Fatah. First, from August 1998:
Omagh bombing kills 28

The bomb exploded on a busy summer's day
Nine children are among the 28 people killed in the Omagh car bombing, it has emerged.

Thirteen women - one of whom was pregnant - and six men died, the authorities have said. About 220 people were injured or maimed.
The response from within the IRA:
The political wing of the IRA, Sinn Fein, issued an unprecedented attack on the bombers.

Martin McGuinness, the party's chief negotiator, gave his own statement of contempt for the perpetrators.

"This appalling act was carried out by those opposed to the peace process," he said.
Even if we say that the condemnation was purely a PR move--if you are a Fatah terrorist and you murder innocent children, what do the 'moderates' of Fatah do?
A school in the West Bank town of Tulkarm this week organized a soccer tournament named after Ziyad Da’as, a Fatah terrorist, Palestinian Media Watch reported on Thursday.

Da’as planned a 2002 attack in Hadera in which a gunman opened fire with an M-16 rifle at a bat mitzva, killing six and wounding 30.

Forget for the moment the implications of a Palestinian state under Abbas for Israel--the West is willing to condemn Palestinian Arabs in the West Bank to be ruled over by these psychopaths of Fatah.
