Israel Report Says Israeli Equipment Used in Hariri's Protection, PM's Office DeniesConsidering the current atmosphere in Lebanon--with threats that Hezbollah might take over if accused of Rafik Hariri's assassination--do you suppose that Hariri might be using this to detect Hezbollah's movements?
Security agencies protecting Prime Minister Saad Hariri are using advanced Israeli equipment that detects hostile forces several kilometers away, Israel Radio reported Wednesday.
It quoted Israeli police as saying that the equipment functions in waves that are difficult to track and block.
According to Israel Radio, a French firm that bought the equipment from its Israeli manufacturers sent it to the Lebanese government.
Later on Wednesday, Hariri's press office issued a statement denying the Israeli report describing such allegation as "falsified news items" aimed at acquiring information on the prime minister's protective measures.
But why rely on Israeli technology instead of Lebanese technology?
Probably because Lebanese technology tends to 'work in waves' too...
