Palestine Is Like Facebook (But Gaza Is Like Twitter)

I like this comparison that Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon in response to the recent spate of South American countries that have come out in recognition of a Palestinian state. Ayalon compares recognizing a Palestinian state with 'liking' in Facebook:
"Facebook is the 'like' state, and so is the Palestinian state recognized in Brasilia and Buenos Aires," said Ayalon. "Irresponsible governments are quick to 'like' the Palestinian state without actually checking out its profile: an authority without sovereignty, with no borders or territorial continuity, no economic ability or democratic culture."
Pursuing the comparison one step further, it only makes sense to compare Gaza with Twitter--
both are prone to outages.
