Video: Is Civil War The Only Way To Push Assad Out Of Power?

Civil war is a possibility the media is beginning to offer in response to continued reports of divisions within the Syrian army--some of the soldiers refusing orders to shoot on unarmed protesters, while some of those same soldiers finding themselves shot at for disobeying orders:

CBS is also reporting more accounts of a Syrian crackdown on protesters, but some of those accounts remain unverified:
CBS News correspondent Elizabeth Palmer reports that, where there's no video of the crackdown - in Syria's north - there is other evidence in the form of a tide of refugees fleeing to safe haven in Turkey.

Mustafa Daas told CBS News he was at a protest yesterday - just 20 miles across the border - in Jisr al-Shougour, where soldiers and police opened fire on protesters almost right away.
Considering the lack of real support from the US--and the failure to push Gaddafi out of power--a civil war may be the only way for Syrians to get rid of the Assad regime

And that will mean a lot more bloodshed than has been seen till now.

Baby Assad is finding it harder to maintain absolute control than his father did simply because much of the fear is gone and secondarily despite the lack of world interest, the protests against his rule show no signs of flickering out.

Its going to be a long hot summer in Syria with discontent at a constant low simmer.
