The Palestinians' Leading Export

Arutz Sheva reports that "PA Arabs Lead World in Suicide Bombings"

A report by the Tel Aviv University revealed that Arabs in the Palestinian Authority (PA) are the world's largest group of suicide bombers, according to Middle East Newsline. The report, which covers the period from 1985 until last year, noted there were 400 suicide bombers from the PA areas and 376 from Iraq.

"Suicide attacks came to be seen as one of the most effective means at the disposal of leaders of terrorist groups striving to achieve their political goals," the report said.

Of course, since Israel has been able to take stronger measures against the terrorists than the US has been able to in Iraq, the number of Iraqi suicide bombers may have already exceeded the number of Palestinian bombers.

The Washington Post notes:

Judging by statistics, Israeli officials have made significant progress against suicide attacks since the start of the intifada in September 2000. At the height of the uprising in 2002, 42 suicide bombings killed 228 people. Two years later, the number had dropped to 12 bombings and 55 deaths.

Israeli officials say the construction of a concrete barrier that rises 24 feet high in some places and the intensive military operations in the West Bank have helped keep suicide bombers out of Israel. In addition, the Israeli military destroys the family homes of suicide bombers, a practice human rights groups have condemned as an illegal exercise of collective punishment.

Another difference between the Palestinian Arabs and their Iraqi counterparts is that, unlike the terrorists in Iraq, the Palestinian terrorists have already been hugely successful in cowing countries and world organizations and are well on their way to establishing a terrorist state.

How sad to be recognized for murder and mayhem.

True, but how much sadder that there are those who are proud of that fact.
