The Litmus Test: Freedom Fighters Vs. Terrorists

Zbigniew Brzezinski:
"We have no illusions that the dialogue will be easy, but we also know that Hamas has people in it who are realistic and know that a permanent state of war and conflict is not going to be conducive to a better future for the Palestinians," he told reporters in a conference call.
Ismail Haniyeh:
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Thursday urged Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas not to "fall into a trap" and make concessions to Israel at a planned peace conference which "would create grave risks for Palestinians".

Haniyeh said the conference "carries grave risks for the Palestinian cause and the entire region", adding that Israel and the United States would use it "as an occasion to provide new and more concessions".
Guess Haniyeh is not one of the 'realistic' ones. Apparently Haniyeh sees peace as much riskier than war.

What Brzezinski and the rest of the Hamas apologists have forgotten--or ignored--is that the difference between real freedom fighters and terrorists is that terrorists don't care about their people, and when they gain power--it does not make them more responsible and moderate. On the contrary, when terrorists like Haniyeh and Hamas, gain power: they use it--and want to keep it and get more of it. The murders of Palestinian Arabs and Fatah members in particular is testimony to that fact.
