Why Create A Palestinian State? Do It For Iraq!

In response to David Brooks' claim about progress in Iraq in Nation Building Works, Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi of The Foreign Policy Journal argues that the opposite is true, noting that:

the pouring in of development money from the U.S. has only increased corruption. In 2003, Iraq ranked 113th out of 133 countries on Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index (CPI). Six years later, Iraq fell to 176th out of 180 countries.

Just think--once there is a Palestinian state, Iraq will only rank 176th out of 181!
